On Tuesday, May 6, 2008, the Ezra Project sponsored Experiencing God Through His Word, with special guest Dr. Henry Blackaby. Dr. Blackaby was on radio twice, live TV, spoke to a private audience of pastors, and delivered a message to over 800 people that evening. I had the privilege to spend the day with him and below are some amazing comments he made throughout the day.
- There are no dry spots in the Bible. When you have Living Water, nothing is dry!
- I wouldn't dare go one day without hearing from God.
- Where is God moving in the United States today? Charlotte, NC; Cleveland, OH; and Pittsburgh, PA. We want to add Denver to the list!
- In 30 years as a senior pastor, I never had one divorce in my church. Also, I never lost one member of the flock God entrusted me with.
- Business people will lead the next revival. Look at Scripture--Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the 12 Apostles, were all businessmen. God did not entrust the spreading of the gospel to the Pharisees, Sadducees, priests, or scribes. Jesus handed it to businessmen. (That gave me a ray of hope as a businessman, doing the Ezra Project!)
- What is God saying to us? What is He doing around us?
- God speaks, it happens, it is good! (Genesis, and ever since)
- It is not good enough just to read the Bible, it is our opportunity to know the Author and come in to relationship with Him.
- Have an unhurried time with God each day!
- Hear God, obey, and experience God!
We thank the Lord for bringing this choice man of God to Denver, Colorado, and pray for lasting impact from his messages on radio, TV, with pastors, and with the public!
