Dear Ezra Project Friends:
A few years ago, we initiated a Read With Ezra Bible reading program. We are doing it again in 2012 and want to invite you to join us. It is a way to have some accountability to a reading plan and to each other throughout the year as I share some of my thoughts on the readings and invite you to do the same. Below is the reading plan for 2012. You can jump in anytime throughout the year if you do not have a 2012 Bible reading plan. Let me know if you are in and I will add you to the Read With Ezra 2012 group so we can stay in touch!
Our 2012 Read with Ezra program will be an enhanced version of the book-a-month method. After reading the whole Bible in 2011, we are slowing down the pace. We will read 24 books, 9 Old and 15 New Testament books. Each month a reading schedule is posted on our home page at www.ezraproject.net so you can follow along. The schedule can also be marked and followed in the Bible Reading Tracker found in either our Chronological or Trio Bible Reading Journals. The schedule may be a little harder to follow than most years; but oh how blessed we will be as we journey through His Word in a unique way!
Do let me know if you are joining us in Read With Ezra in 2012. It will look like this:
- January - Psalms (Divided in a special way by number of verses to even out the reading for the month)
- February - John, and 1, 2, 3 John (the writings of John, except Revelation)
- March - Genesis
- April - Luke (a gospel to coincide with Easter)
- May - Acts (to continue the writings of Luke)
- June - Deuteronomy
- July - Proverbs
- August - Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians (writings of Paul)
- September - Ezra and Nehemiah
- October - 1 and 2 Thessalonians and 1 and 2 Timothy (more writings of Paul)
- November - Daniel, Hosea, Micah (a taste of the minor prophets)
- December - Matthew (finishing with our 3rd gospel)
